In the second quarter of 2024, the dining and restaurant application category witnessed interesting trends on the unified platform, combining both iOS and Android data. Here's a brief overview of the top five apps' performance, courtesy of insights from Sensor Tower.

McDonald’s - Non-US experienced a steady stream of downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 15K downloads and peaking at 17K by the end of June. Weekly active users fluctuated, with a high of 248K in mid-June and closing the quarter at around 223K.

Domino's Pizza Ukraine saw its downloads peak at around 1.5K in mid-April, with the rest of the quarter maintaining downloads slightly above or below 1K. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 1.9K in early April to 1.5K by the end of June.

For BURGER KING® Magyarország, downloads saw a high of approximately 794 in early May but otherwise hovered around 500-600 throughout the quarter. Weekly active users started at 4.2K and had a slight decrease to 3.5K by the end of Q2.

KFC UAE - Order Food Online downloads were highest at the start of April with around 630 and dipped to 399 in early June before slightly recovering to 471. The app’s weekly active users saw a decreasing trend, from 5.4K in the first week of April to 4.4K at the quarter's end.

Lastly, TheFork - Restaurant bookings showed an impressive spike in downloads during the first week of May, reaching nearly 1K, but generally ranged between 200-500 for the rest of the quarter. The app's active users more than doubled from 647 to 1.5K in mid-May but then settled to around 1K by late June.
